Question : What did 2003 bring you?
Answer: New songs, fun shows, and great friends.
Question: It is only Country Music that hasn't experienced dramatic
declines in record sales. What to you think is the reason for that?
Answer: Great songs and loyal fans.
Question: At the moment there is a real country music boom in
Germany. The Dixie Chicks and Emmy Lou Harris had three concerts
in Germany. When can we see you in concert in Germany?
Answer: Well, I will be in Zurich Switzerland March 9th and 10th 2004.
It would be fun to attach a date in Germany to that tour. I will have my
complete band with me.
Question: Country music has many facets. What is country music
Answer: Great songs are the foundation of great country music. Singing
and playing from the heart.
Question: Surely a lot of your fans would like to know what your
plans for 2004 are and when we can expect a new CD from you?
Answer: I have one in the making now called Hands On you

Question: How did you get to Country Music and when?
Answer: I have been writing songs since I was 18 thanks to my
songwriting mentor, the late, great Shel Silverstein. I was singing
waaaaaay before then so, I would say all my life.
Question: In what area would you say we could do some changes in the
Answer: Expand it even more into Europe and the rest of the world.
Question: Do you have an actual CD on the market?
Answer: Yes, it is called "Best Of Deborah Allen" and
it is on Curb Records
Question: What comes to your mind about Nashville and music industry?
Answer: Amazing -- the changes and the growth.
Question: What was, for you, the biggest song and why?
Answer: My biggest song, personally as an artist, is still
"Baby I Lied" ... It has taken me all over the world.
Question: How much influence do you feel a song has on the public
Answer: Depending on the song and it's content ... it can change lives.
Question: Why did you choose country music?
Answer: I was born in to it. I grew up around the soul, R&B, Black
Gospel of Memphis and then moving to Nashville molded me completely as a
very lyrically oriented writer.
Question: Do you have any musical model? And if yes, why those ones?
Answer: Dolly Parton, Tina Turner, Cher, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette,
Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Al Green, Billie Holiday, Ray Charles,
George Jones, What ever moves me musically. What ever is honest and real
... yet bigger than life.
Question: Is there something you would like to tell your European
Answer: I Love Europe. I would love to perform here more. Also, thank
