KD:: I was born in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada, into a wonderful family. I have two sisters, one brother and wonderful parents who have been married for over 30 years.
CL: Country Music has many new fans in Europe who may be learning about you for the first time. How would you describe the music you play to someone who's never seen or heard you before?
KD:: Contemporary country
CL: What is your current CD, and how is it doing?
KD:: The Real Stuff, have radio airplay in parts of Canada, Europe, and Australia
CL: How did you find the title for the CD and what inspired you?
KD: The title is from one of my favorite songs on the album
CL: The internet is playing a bigger and bigger part in the world of music. Has the internet hurt or helped you and how would you like to see it evolve?
KD: The internet has definitely helped me. My website is a good networking source for me, as well as a bio for industry and fans to look up at their convenience.
CL: Who do you look up to musically and where do your musical roots come from?
KD: I have a lot of musical influences, from Tina Turner to Patsy Cline, but my biggest influence and background in music comes from my dad. As a child I remember watching my dad practice with his guitar and microphone for the band that he was in. He used to let me sing in the microphone. My dream was to one day be in his band. I achieved that goal and he still continues to support me in my own music career to this day.
CL: As an artist you have so many different things you have to do such as recording, touring, doing interviews etc. What do you like doing the best, what's your favorite activity?
KD: My favorite activity hands down, is performance. I love to put on a show!!!
CL: How did you get into Country Music ... is there a story behind it?
KD: I was raised on country music.
CL: Has your journey to success been a hard or an easy road?
KD: Very difficult but for the most part, I have enjoyed it.
CL: What's the best thing about being a star and what's the hardest thing?
KD: I love perform, but being on the road constantly can be lonely.
CL: Who's your biggest critic, yourself or others?
CL: Can your European fans look forward to seeing you in concert in the future?
KD: I would love to tour in Europe and it is one of my goals for the near future.
CL: Many music fans today get their information about artists via the internet. Do you have your own website and what information can the fans find out about you on the internet?
KD: Yes www.kristendaniel.com. You can find out almost everything you’d like to know about me, and maybe more!!!
CL: What are your plans for the future and how can new fans keep informed about you?
KD: My plans are to keep making new music, and enjoying my career in music. My website will have the most recent and best info to keep informed about me.
CL: What's the best compliment a fan has ever given you?
KD: The best compliment is when a fan or a venue owner wants you back!!!
CL: What message would you like to send to your European fans?
KD: Thank you for listening and supporting independent artists like myself. Europe has a great fan base and I look forward to meeting you someday. Keep listening to country radio!!!!!
