The Bellamy Brothers - Angels & Outlaws
Review By: Chris Macon

Let me just say, that this record has some really cool guest artists. Alan Jackson, Montgomery Gentry, Pat Green, Dolly Parton, George Jones, David Allen Coe and Charlie Daniels to name a few. For sure, itís a unique album, one the Brothers characterize as a set of "duets with the duet." Basically, itís a bunch of their greatest hits reworked and reimaged with many of todayís stars. Iíd say one of the best moments is David Allen Coe and Tanya Tuckerís take on "Reggae Cowboy." The vocal filtering on Coeís parts just make the song. I also love "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me)" with Dolly Parton and the freakishly cool "Old Hippie" with Montgomery Gentry. "Angels & Outlaws" really succeeds in updating the Bellamy Brotherís whole sound and shtick. Whatís next guys? (3 out of 4 stars)
