Craig
Morgan -
I Love It
CD and Website Review by Jim Weaver
CD
Review:
Craig Morgan is back
with the second album of his relatively short music career. Craig, as
you may or may not know, is a veteran of the first Gulf War serving our
country for a total of 10 years. After getting out of the Special Forces
he decided to pursue his singing career and his love of country music.
Craig had some moderate success with his self-titled first CD however it
really appears that he's hit a homer with his new album titled I
Love It. The new CD came out on March 11th and his first single
"Almost Home" is doing great on the charts... #14 in
R&R, #18 on Billboard. This is a very good CD, One of the
things I thought was interesting is the songs I liked the best on this
album were the one's that Craig wrote or co-wrote. Take "Almost
Home" for example... if you pay attention to the words and the
story just once (and you have a soul) he's got you. I'm a sucker for a
good story song that can make you think. Songs that squeeze an emotional
response out of me, I'm hooked and must hear more. Another good one on
this CD is "God, Family and Country". "Look At
Us" is a trip down memory lane through a box in the closet, who
hasn't been down that road before. Good country songs are relatable not
just to life, but to your life, and you'll find a bunch of those
on this CD. From a radio point of view, Craig should be able to get 3 or
4 good singles out of this CD.
Overall,
if you were a Craig Morgan fan from the first album then this should
solidify your fan-dome even more. If your new to Craig's music you
should try it, I think you'll like it.

Website
Review:
Nice
job! Web design 101, how it's done. No FLASH, it doesn't assault you
with music when the page loads, looks good, functions good, all
the necessary information is easy to find. Only two things could I find
wrong with it...
#1.
No music clips! How can you be a singer and not have music clips on your
website? Isn't that what you're trying to sell?
#2.
No link on the menu to return to the home page. This is a minor thing I
guess, but in my feeble brain the web surfer should always be able to
easily return to the main page.
