Wynonna - What The World Needs Now Is Love

CD Review:
That voice, that amazing voice is back! I don't think anyone would argue with me when I say that Wy has one of the most powerful and recognizable voices in the music business today... period. And boy has she ever stretched those vocal chords on this CD. 

If you're looking for a super-twang CD you're not going to find it from Wynonna. In fact, on most of the songs on this CD, the only reason you might say it's country is Wy's vocal delivery. No matter what songs or singing styles she might experiment with she always sounds country to me. Not that that's a bad thing. 

For the most part I'd have to say this is a very happy, uplifting collection for Wy, although my favorite song on the CD is the heart-felt "Heaven Help Me". Legendary rock guitarist Jeff Beck joins Wynonna on a cover of "Foreigner's" classic hit "I Want To Know What Love Is",  and mom Naomi steps up to the microphone for "Flies On The Butter (You Can't Go Home Again)". 
Overall, Wynonna is terrific as always.

What a great looking site! Fantastic use of colors and not even a little spec of FLASH used that I can find... great job! There are a few things missing, not essential things, just the extras... like photos or wallpaper, a message board or chat room, there is a special section for members only which may contain all these and more but I'm not a member, you know how that goes.
