Brandon Sandefur - Walking
Backwards
By George
Peden
Your
mission, dear readers, should you decide to accept it ......is to
search, locate and bring to wider attention the whereabouts of a
missing in action country hopeful. He is waiting, somewhere, in the
wings; your mission is to find him. His name is Brandon Sandefur.
Several
years back the Texan released an album. It was a highly promising
debut. Since then, silence. There are now concerns for the talented
singer and songwriter. It’s feared he may have fallen into the
Nashville cracks and disappointments of other music wannabes.
After
Walking Backward, his fan acclaimed but industry overlooked
album, failed to rise, this Sam Houston State University graduate
disappeared. The search is on to find out where.
To
help with his detection, here is a thumbnail description. He’s
hatless; he has persuasive good looks; he favors traditional artists
like Merle and George and his made-for-country voice, best caught on
the killer cut “Right Between The Lines” is defiantly and
decidedly country with attitude.
He
showed promise. Plenty. We here at CSO hope he hasn’t missed his
calling. We’d love to hear how he’s doing.
To
assist with his early and needed return to music, a picture has been
provided for your use. Is this a mission impossible? We hope not!
All the checks have failed to overturn anything. The hunt is now on.
As
always should you or any member of your street team be caught on
this mission, CSO will applaud any knowledge of your actions.
Good
luck, dear reader. This page should self destruct in about a month.

Clayton
featuring Linsey Armaou
By Jim Weaver
Once
again, guilty as charged with surfing the World Wide Web in search
of something just a little bit different than what you might
normally find in the virtual pages of CSO, and lookie what I
found... the United Kingdome's Clayton.
The
band called Clayton consists of; Lindsay Armaou - vocals, Rick Mitra -
bass/producer, John Peppard - guitars, Geoff Dunn - drums, Leon Spicer -
violin and Charles Bowyer - backing vocals/guitar. While the band is
very talented and the overall sound is very tight and polished, what
makes this band stand out is the vocals of Lindsey Armaou. Big brown
eyes that will melt your heart and a soft sweet voice to match. You
won't hear any Redneck Woman-type songs out of these vocal chords,
just wouldn't fit. But if you find a song that requires a soft touch
with buckets of emotion, Armaou is perfect.
You
will also find that the overall sound of what they call country
music in England is a little different than what we produce in the
US, but great story songs, sung with heart-felt emotion and sparse
instrumentation is the backbone of country and folk music around the
world. Even if they ain't from this country, Clayton
featuring Lindsey Armaou, has captured the heart and spirit of Country
Music.
I
think you owe it to yourself to spread your "Wings" a
little further and discover new things every now and then just to
keep things interesting, therefore you should check out the links
below. I have a feeling you will, or you wouldn't be reading this
far into it.
